Empire of the Sun is the soundtrack, on Warner Bros. Records, of the 1987 Academy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated film Empire of the Sun starring Christian Bale, John Malkovich, Miranda Richardson and Nigel Havers. The original score was composed by John Williams.
The album won the BAFTA Award for Best Score. It was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Music - Original Score, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and a Grammy Award.
