Is emile Hirsch jew?

Doubt it, his first name is Emile which is German(what kind of Jew gives they're child a German name?) and Hershel or Herschel is the Yiddish form of Hirsch, so I would say hes not Jewish.

Actually, he is more than likely Jewish. But there is no real info out there right now. It should come out eventually.Vulturell 09:06, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

He is, unless one of his best friends has the wrong information.

I don`t know, but since "Hirsch" is the german word for "deer" and a quite common name of German jews (compare: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Hirsch or http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helle_Hirsch or http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Hirsch, I guess he is of (partial) German origin. Maybe his (grand)grandfather was one of the Jews who had been lucky enough to leave Germany in the 1930s.

He can't have been born in 1985 and yet also started acting in the late 1990's "at the age of 8." IMDB lists no credits before 1997, and he's obviously older than 18, so I think the age is in error. Emile Hirsch is now an avid pot smoker and dealer, dealing to celebrity friends such as Justin Timberlake, James Franco, Ben Foster, and most recently sexy as hell Cheryl, never using Cole again, Tweedy. It's said that his favourite strain is the mauwie wauwie . When he isn't dealing or maintaining his pot supply he's shooting is arrow into Tweedy or at least he will be.
