[edit] Egghead's

The first lineup was recruited by Egghead, and consisted of the Rhino, Cobalt Man, and Solarr.[1] Egghead later also employed the Eel (Stryke), Porcupine, Power Man and Swordsman (Jacques Duquesne); this team is never called the "Emissaries of Evil", but Egghead does refer to them as his "employed Emissaries". The Emmissaries attempt to hold the world ransom with an atomic bomb but are foiled by Canada's first superhero team, The Flight -- predecessor to Alpha Flight.[2]

The second Emissaries of Evil was recruited by Electro in a plot of revenge against Daredevil for previous defeats. This group consisted of Gladiator, Stilt-Man, Leap-Frog, and the Matador. Daredevil happened across their recruitment meeting and attempted to bring them in, but Electro managed to knock him out, letting him go because killing him then would be too easy. Later, as part of Electro's plan, the Matador followed Daredevil and ambushed him, but Daredevil easily overcame him. The Emissaries conducted one final, mass-assault on Daredevil. However, Daredevil defeated them and wrapped the whole group up in a lasso and left them for the cops. [3]
