Emily Anna Bridges (born 1977) is an American composer of new art music. Graduating in 1999 with a B.A. in Music from Colby College in Waterville [1], ME, she is currently finishing her Ph.D. in Music Composition at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She has studied with Jay Reise, Anna Weesner, James Primosch, John McDonald, and Jonathan Hallstrom [2]. Her works include orchestral, chamber, solo instrumetal, solo vocal, and choral pieces. She was awarded the Helen L. Weiss Music Prize in 2006 [3].
