Emergence 1: The Transfiguration (2006) by Peter L. Smith, an artist working in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

The work won the 2007 Phoenix Prize for spiritual art (prize: AUD$5,000), based at the Australian National University.

Emergence 1: The Transfiguration consists of cable ties that are loosely woven together, forming a wall installation rising from a cirle on the ground and growing up the adjacent wall into a widening fan shape. Size: 315 x 400 x 120 cm.
