Five Canadian SW900s were built after regular production had ended. The last SW900 built by GMD in March 1969 was BC Hydro #911. All Candian SW900s were built by GMD, not EMD. See A J Kristopans website here for GMD built diesel locomotives: http://community-2.webtv.net/ajkristopans/GENERALMOTORSDIESEL/ --SSW9389 (talk) 23:56, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Larry Russell's GM Export page at http://emdexport.railfan.net/frame_layout.html lists 15 SW900 exports: Guinea 1, Liberia 5, Peru 2, and Venezuela 7. I could not find production data to confirm these units. --SSW9389 (talk) 11:31, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
