[edit] Welcome
Hello, Embassy, and welcome to Wikipedia! I am Deepu Joseph (a.k.a. thunderboltz). Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~).
- Provide an Edit summary
- Take a look at Consensus of standards. It is always wise to read the talk page of an existing article before making major changes on it. Even then, I typically ask if anyone minds that I make a change. Very often they do! ;-)
- Create a User page
Again, welcome! And if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask - Just click here to leave me a message; or add {{helpme}} to this page. thunderboltz(Deepu)
[edit] Re: What nonsense?
Hi! I think you just created a new id. I might have reverted some changes that you made, mistaking it for vandalism. I always verify twice before reverting, and chances are low that I made a slip. But, hey, I'm human too. Sorry. Cheers!-- thunderboltz(Deepu) 10:49, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Anytime. Hope you hang around. :)-- thunderboltz(Deepu) 11:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Dave Bishop
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dave Bishop, by Jjor, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dave Bishop seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dave Bishop, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Dave Bishop itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:31, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your report at AIV
That was a bad-faith report. No vandalism per-se has been done. If you are in conflict with another editor, kindly keep your conflict appropriate and do not make bad-faith inappropriate reports. --Dweller 15:30, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandals must have a final warning before being blocked
[edit] June 2007
Thank you for making a report about Jjor (talk · contribs · block log) at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. Waggers 15:31, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Biography peer review
Hi, thankyou for putting two articles up for peer review. If you could place === Name of nominated article === at the top instead of a wikilink it means they are created as new titles on the peer review page. As such can you now put your 4 tildes (~) on the Joe Rogan page it would be most appreciated. Thankyou. Woodym555 15:04, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bishop
There are no reliable sources in the article that give him substantial coverage (different to being "mentioned somewhere in the press / on the internet"), and just because other articles that may bear some similarities are a pile of shit, it doesn't give your article the right to avoid policies and guidelines. I hope that answers some of your questions. I've taken a look at the other pages you mentioned and proposed 2 of them for deletion, hope that makes you feel better.
Please leave comments at the bottom of talk pages unless specifically directed otherwise. Thanks, Deiz talk 02:22, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
