I think there is sufficient (if limited) evidence that Cynllibiwg existed. The question remains open as to what and precisely where it was. Hecne my use of the neutral word "polity". Peterkingiron (talk) 18:38, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

But the point is, we definitely do not know if it was a "polity", whether as a "kingdom" or otherwise. A geographical name does not in itself prove the existence of a polity for that area. Enaidmawr (talk) 23:01, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

I've changed "However its nature and extent remain uncertain" to a shorter rewording of my original comment. "Its nature and extent remain uncertain" implies it actually existed (i.e. as a polity) when in fact we have no proof of that. Enaidmawr (talk) 23:10, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
