I always wonder what Elvis could have done if "The Colonel" would have allowed him to become the actor he wanted to be. I have a feeling he could have been a very good actor, maybe even great. I recall the scene in "Jailhouse Rock", where he grabs the girl, and plants one on her, and she snarls at him about his thinking such "Cheap tactics would work with me!" And he says, "Ain't tactics, honey...it's just the beast in me..." He had good instincts, good reaction, and acting is mostly reacting. --Algoma.

Ok.

[edit] Intro Needs Rewording

Hi! The first sentence as it stands is extremely confusing:

"Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old) was Elvis Presley's second studio album to be released in the 1970's (the first being That's The Way It Is), which was slated as a live album"

This definitely needs rewording by someone more familiar with Elvis than myself.--80.193.22.182 15:21, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

  • I've also had to reword it to remove a factual error as it was changed to read that this album was Elvis' 24th LP, not counting soundtracks, and that's clearly incorrect. Up to this point Presley had only recorded about a dozen studio albums, with the rest being soundtracks. 68.146.41.232 (talk) 15:54, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Elvis Country.jpg

Image:Elvis Country.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
