"Cassiel => a choice for which he believed himself eternally damned."

does he? I understand he simply loves Elua and never wants to part his side. Therefore he is the "one true companion", since the others left Elua's side at a point.

[edit] Real parallels

Do any of Elua's Companions have parallels to real figures from Jewish/Christian angel mythology? I know Kushiel is an actual angel in Jewish Angelology, but I don't know about the others... 205.157.110.11 00:49, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Naamah shows up several places. Eisheth is a succubus. The others are all angels from various Christian mythos. Look up the names here and you'll find articles. Blade 03:00, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
