[edit] When Elsa Morante was born?

Most Wikipedias, and also the Britannica, state that Elsa Morante was born in 1918. However, some Italian sites, and the Italian Wikipedia, state that she was born 6 years earlier, in 1912.

Hello Elsa Morante was born in 1912 indeed - the websites you quoted are correct. I do not have other official sources that state this - but the fact that she was my great-aunt so I am 100% sure :-)
