Also of note in the illustrious career of "Crazy Legs" Hirsch is his appearance as the co-pilot in the aiplane drama "Zero Hour." "Zero Hour" was the inspiration for the knockoff "Airplane" which is take word from word from "Zero Hour."
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was the co-pilot in "Airplane" keeping with the jock tradition of Elroy Hirsch. The role was supposed to go to Pete Rose, but since "Airplane" was filmed in the summer, Rose was still playing (and betting?) and unable to star in that great movie.
[edit] Nickname
I changed "Crazy Legs" to "Crazylegs" where it appeared - the article uses the two interchangably, but both the UW Badgers website and the Pro Football HoF list his nickname as the single word. Most importantly, in his own event - the Crazylegs classic - he himself uses the single word version. --Chancemichaels 03:51, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Chancemichaels
