[edit] Major Edits
I plan to make some major edits to this article in a few days. I restructured the article to include several more in depth sections including Elmina before the arrival of the Portuguese, the Portuguese arrival, and the Building of the Castle. These were the major areas of my research. I also added sections on the Atlantic Slave Trade and the involvement of other European nations, but these sections will still need to be expanded upon.
