Elmar Bob

Elmar Bob (born August 24, 1967), son of German aviator Hans Ekkehard Bob, is an international executive working for major corporations in France, Japan, Germany and the United States.
Until Dec, 2006, Elmar Bob was Executive VP of Spark Networks (formerly Matchnet.com; owner of JDate, americansingles, christianmingles, blacksinglesconnection.)[1]
Until 2004, Matchnet (now Spark) was only traded on Germany's Frankfurt Stock Exchange. That year, Elmar Bob helped reincorporate the company in the United States and offer it's stock on the US NASDAQ National Market.[2]
In 2001, Elmar Bob, then Matchnet/Spark's head of German Operations, was quoted in the [[International Herald Tribune]] commenting on the fact that Bloomberg News had wrongly reported that MatchNet was being bought out and changing it's focus to biotechnology.[3]
Before joining Spark Networks in 1999, Elmar Bob started his career at Microsoft in Germany before moving onto be GM of Yves Saint Laurent and Kenzo in Japan.[4]
Elmar Bob is currently the managing director of GFS AG a small, private, wealth management company based in Germany and Switzerland.[5]
