My name's Eliot Beer; I'm currently a journalist on Arabian Computer News (ACN) magazine in Dubai, part of ITP. You can see the ITP.net homepage here - all of my stories are online at the site.

I write professionally about enterprise IT, although my expertise in this field is not massive. I have a keen general interest in technology, as well as interest in popular music, including Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Flaming Lips, Loudon Wainwright III, Richard Thompson and others.

I orignally come from Birmingham in the UK, and am a graduate of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth (BScEcon(Hons) International Relations), and Cardiff University (PGDip Newspaper Journalism). I have worked for a major utility's call centre operation, amongst other previous jobs.
