Talk:Eli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hey Steve, just a few comments.
- Eli is Hebrew as well as Aramaic.
- It is derived from El, a Canaanite storm god.
- The "i" suffix indicates first person singular possession, i.e., "my El".
- Eli is also a common first name in Hebrew, however, there is a distinction between Eli spelled with an aleph, which is a diminutive form of Eliahu (Elijah), Eliezer, etc. and Eli spelled with an 'ayin, which is the name of the high priest in the Book of Samuel.
Other than that, nice work on the "God" stuff. Danny
[edit] Eli Fast
Eli Fast is a popular grade 8 boy at Point Grey Secondary.
He throws amazing parties, and is really HOTT!
He's also not the smartest person ( hes really dumb, like lots of blonde moments) Usually around the center of huge groups of people.
If you see him say hi and he wont know who you are!!!! LOL like i said lots of blonde moments!
I removed "**Eli Bensignor, a prestigous college student" because apparently even Google has never heard of him.--SunWuKong 03:03, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
