Elizabeth Coleman

Elizabeth Coleman has been the president of Bennington College since 1987.

She is the subject of both wide praise and harsh criticism for her role in the Bennington Symposium of 1994, a high profile decision to eliminate presumptive tenure and fire more than two-dozen full time members of Bennington's faculty.
