ElGabri is the surname of a well-established Egyptian family consisting of more than 20,000 members and dating back to at least the beginning of the last millennium. It is one of the few united families descended from the original Arab tribes which settled in Egypt. Historically members of the ElGabri family have settled in and around the Giza plateau. The family is spread all over the Western Hemisphere. Prominent members include former industrialist and founder of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce Hassanein ElGabri.
