Talk:Elevator (aircraft)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The previous version of this article stated that when the elevator drops the aircraft tail, a slowing of the aircraft will occur if power is added or available. This is misleading, so I deleted it. The aircraft will slow regardless of any power change; any new elevator position will produce a new trim speed. The only effect of power is to determine whether the craft goes up or down or maintains level flight at that trim speed. I hope everybody understands the need for this clarification.Raymondwinn 09:28, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
