Final Wishes and Requests

Anyone who knows me well, such as my friend Doug, knows I am not a fan of the Wikidrama. So I have three very simple, easy to follow requests.

1. I left Wikipedia for a reason and if I wanted to come back I could do so easily. I am unlikely to be swayed by declarations of sorrow. I feel all too many people say they're "leaving WP 4evar" just to generate pity, or have a lot of people tell them to come back so they can feel good about themselves. Folks, I got a life, outside of this, and people who I actually do thing with away from the computer. I'm leaving the Wiki because the juvenile actions of some people piss me off. I'll come back if I need something, but I don't want a thousand comments.

2. Go create an article from scratch, after spending an hour in a library. You know, the buildings with actual books in them? Get you a notepad. A pencil. Some coke. Some music on your iPod. Shit, take your friends. Go study a subject and write notes down. LEARN something, then make an article on it, a NEW one. Or print out an existing one and take it to the library, or the university, and make it better.

The whole point of this project, ostensibly, is the creation and codification of knowledge. It's not a social club. It's not a place to champion your nationalistic views, or your racist theories, or your stupid conspiracies. Making an encyclopedia requires research, and wanting to learn, and doing it right.

3. Don't bother responding on this talk page. After the mess involving Gracenotes' RfA, I realized that there is a reason for me to be permanently gone. There is no drama, WP and I just don't mix. Best to move on. Vaya con dios.

I'm done here. If you need to get into contact with me, my email is at the top of the page.

[edit] Should we delete this list

Some people are selective they would like to see only lists of their own domination, what do u think does this list warrant deletion or should we let it stay?[1]--יודל 13:45, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Yidisheryid, Elara has unfortunately been inactive for the past 4 months or so. ~ Riana 17:37, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Elaragirl's work on algolagnia was fantastic

Being an algolagniac myself I was extremely impressed with the work Elaragirl did on the algolagnia page. I think it was great, and I also think it is a shame that she has left Wikipedia because I'm sure she couldv'e done alot more great work on alot more subjects. However, she obviously had her reasons for leaving, and it's none of my - or anyone else's - business why she left.
