Elaine Pope

Elaine Pope is an American TV writer and stand-up comedian. She once dated Jerry Seinfeld, becoming good friends with him after they broke up, thus being an inspiration for the Elaine Benes character on the hit series Seinfeld, which she ended up writing several episodes for. Along with Larry Charles, she received an Emmy for co-writing the episode "The Fix-Up".

Her sister is rock singer Carole Pope. She currently resides in New York City.
