Hilary Rose Arcturus MacDonald Hutchinson (b. July 18, 1993) is a prolific artist, musician and astronomerwho has maintained an extremely influental and cult following through her work.

[edit] Childhood

Born in Morocco to a Native American Indian Gypsy mother and second-generation Scottish father who worked as a jazz musician, Hutchinson migrated to the southern part of the Amazon at the age of three, as her father was enamoured with Bossa Nova. During this time a shaman bestowed upon her three different types of magic: Foresight, Transmographication and Time-travel, all of which she used regularly and frequently played tricks on the elders with them. Due to her mother's involvement in rebel activity, the family was forced to move north, and transferred to Mexico, where Hutchinson spent her time playing football with the young native children and learning flamenco guitar from the local musicians. As a result of her continuous travelling, she speaks fluent, almost perfect portuguese and spanish with distinct Brazilian and Mexican accents, respectively. At a young age she exhibited a natural brilliance, even amongst her very gifted classmates. She took a natural interest in history and art in particular, excelling in music, art and languages in particular.

At the age of 14, while waiting outside a Yeah Yeah Yeahs concert, an art scout discovered the young Hutchinson creating a patch of graffiti on a wall and offered her a chance to draw panels with Jean Giraud. Upon meeting her and seeing her expertise, Giraud praised her talent, and from then on opened doors to other such prestigious offers, such as creating several Sin City and Batman graphic novels. Around this time, Hutchinson began to suffer depression and low self-esteem. Although, as her close friend Keira Knightley remarked, "she never let on or showed what she was feeling, there was never a moment when you thought that there was something seriously wrong. Though, mind you, she did look like disappointed bloodhound every now and then." During this time, she moved to her father's native Australia, where she began school at Castlemaine Steiner school, where she met Laura Carr, whom she developed a close bond with.
