Talk:El Escorpion Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This park is not actually called Castle Peak Park, nor El Escorpion Park. It is called Bell Canyon Park, as referenced on the of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks page. I am moving that this article be re-named to Bell Canyon Park to better reflect that. Lasdlt 21:44, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Factual Accuracy
Not only is the information in this article unsupported, most of the facts I have seem to condradict most stated in this article. I will attempt a rewrite soon. Lasdlt
Name discrepancy, I was a resident of Bell Canyon and a member of the Trails Committee, the proper name for the park described is Bell Creek Park. It is and has always been maintained by the Bell Canyon Home Owners Association. Importracer411 19:50, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
I've found information on the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation webpage that now name this park as indeed being El Escorpion Park. Sorry for any inconvenience here, the LADRP has upgraded their facility finder recently and made it easier to find information on their map. I'll rewrite this article shortly to reflect this. Basically, El Escorpion Park has an invisible border with Bell Canyon Park, to the north, according to the map. However, the LADRP website still has no information on the park.Lasdlt 03:47, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
