El Clavo or The Nail is a 1944 Spanish romance drama film directed by Rafel Gil.
It is based on the novel with the same title written by Pedro Antonio de Alarcón
It was a great success on its release. Future film maker José Antonio Nieves Conde was the director's assistant.
