El Pollo Diablo

El Pollo Diablo is an independent post-ironic hard rock, punk, and reggae band from Toronto, Ontario.
EPD's name is a reference to the legendary Devil Chicken which haunts Plunder Island in the third game of the Monkey Island series.
They have reached somewhat of a "cult" status in the Toronto independent music scene, inspiring fan clubs on community websites such as Last.fm, MySpace, and Facebook.
They are known for their extremely energetic live performances and for often playing ironic covers including Justin Timberlake's SexyBack and the Mortal Kombat theme song, as well as switching instruments often, even during songs.
On June 4th, 2007, the band reunited with former bassist Joe Cornfield for what will likely be their farewell performance. During their set, they performed multiple songs with Toronto A cappella group The Trilogies.
