This image is asserted to be fair use in the article Airport & East Hills railway line, Sydney for the following reasons:

1. No free equivalent is available. All timetables, copyrighted or otherwise are copyrighted to Railcorp, the State Rail Authority of New South Wales, or the New South Wales Government Railways or its predecessors, and pocket timetables were not available in periods before 1955 when they would be out of copyright. A "mockup" of a timetable would also be a copyright infringement.
2. The picture's display on Wikipedia is a minimal usage of the copyrighted publication - the image contains only the cover of the timetable booklet, and not the entire timetable.
3. The picture is of low resolution.
4. The picture has been previously published outside of Wikipedia.
5. Reproduction of this page of the timetable does not financially disadvantage the copyright owner. The timetables are given out for free, and reproduction of a page will not affect Railcorp's financial position.
6. The image significantly adds to the article. The image is used to represent marketing of the line at a time when the East Hills Line only extended to East Hills Railway Station and the line was marketed as the "East Hills Line" for that reason. Today this is not possible due to multiple extensions of the line at either end, and its connection with the Airport Line in 2000.
7. The image is used only in the article's mainspace.

This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit. The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion. It is believed that the use of some images of promotional material to illustrate: the person(s), product, event, or subject in question where the image is unrepeatable, i.e. a free image could not be created to replace it on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law.
