Egypt competed in the Winter Olympic Games for the first time (and as of 2006, only time) at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. The only participant was Alpine skier Jamil El Reedy. He has the longest full name (as written in his passport) among all paricipants of the 1984 Winter Olympics.
