My name is Ed Williams and I'm Director of Engineering for KPTV and KPDX in Portland, Oregon. Our stations are part of the Meredith Corporation broadcasting group.

I'm a newcomer to Wikipedia as an editor, so while I am learning and experimenting in the sandbox and on this user page, my input will be limited. My main intention is to help contribute to areas of the project that are related to electronic media, broadcast engineering and related topics, general technology and science. I am also an avid long distance motorcyclist and motorcycle safety instructor, so I will most likely begin contributing to articles in those areas occasionally as well.
