I revised the article using White's introduction to the Dover edition of Lane's first book. I removed the bit re his marriage to a slave, for which I can find no references. White says that he married a Greek woman in 1840 -- I'll put this in the article. Could she be the "slave" in question? Zora 22:34, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
