This is an edited image of nature writer Edwin Way Teale released by publisher Dodd, Mead to promote Teale's 1976 book, The American Seasons. I have uploaed it for use with the English-language Wikipedia article about Teale. I have tagged it as "promotional" because it was "an image freely provided to promote an item, as in a promotional photo in a press packet." I believe that it qualifies as fair use on the English-language Wikipedia because, after a diligent search for an unambiguously free-use image of Teale, I found none. I located the original of this image in the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division at [1]. A description follows:
