Edwin Miranda (born January 28, 1981 in Zacatecoluca, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran-American soccer player, who currently plays defensive midfield for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division.
Miranda played four years of college soccer at Cal State-Northridge, where he was twice named Big West Conference Defender of the Year. After graduating, Miranda was drafted 54th overall by the then-Dallas Burn in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft. Miranda did not make the FC Dallas's final roster, and ended up playing the 2004 and 2005 seasons for the Portland Timbers.
Miranda's best professional season came in 2005, when he played 2396 minutes in 27 games, and recorded 4 goals and 4 assists for the Timbers.
Miranda appeared in 4 games for the Timbers in 2006, before being waived. He was then signed by the Islanders, where he played 1475 minutes in 19 games.
