Edward Rogers III

Edward S. Rogers III is president of Rogers Cable, a subsidiary of the Canadian media conglomerate Rogers Communications. He is the son of Edward S. "Ted" Rogers, Jr., president and CEO of the parent company, and the grandson of founder Edward S. Rogers, Sr.

Rogers started his career at Comcast Corporation in the United States after he was graduated by the University of Western Ontario. He spent 2½ years there in sales and product development. In 1996 he left Comcast to work for the family's company, as a vice president of the Rogers Wireless subsidiary. In 1998, he moved over to the cable television side, first serving as vice president and general manager for the Toronto division.

In 2000, Rogers was named senior vice president of planning and strategy for Rogers Communications. He was directly responsible for directing and coordinating strategic planning, strategic relationships, business and product development. He remained in that position until February 2003, when he assumed his current post.

Edward is also on the board of directors for Rogers Communications, Futureway Communications and Rogers Sportsnet.
