Edward Ernest Green

Edward Ernest Green ( 1861 , Colombo -1949 Camberley ) was an English mycologist and entomologist who specialised in Coccidae.

From 1880 Green managed his family's tea and coffee plantations in Ceylon.

He wrote The Coccidae of Ceylon, Dulau & Co., London (five volumes 1896-1922) and over 200 other papers.

Green's collection of Heteroptera from Ceylon is in the Indian Museum in Calcutta. His Microlepidoptera and Coleoptera from Ceylon are in the Natural History Museum in London.
