Edmund Evans (1787-1849) was an English engraver and printer. who is considered a forerunner in the usage of color prints for publications and books. Evans worked with some of literature's most famous authors and illustrators including Lewis Carroll, John Tenniel, Walter Crane, Randolph Caldecott, Kate Greenaway, and Robert Browning.
