[edit] Wisdom89

Wisdom89 (talk · contribs) While in the future I plan on re-applying to WP:RfA, this is not the reason for this request for editor review. I would appreciate any community feedback regarding the quality of my edits, the approach I've taken to revising/improving articles and the manner by which I communicate with other fellow Wikipedians. Reviews

  • This is my first editor review, so please excuse me if it is shorter than most or if it is non-conventional, but I figure any feedback is useful. So then, although many of your edits are made by Twinkle, which is fine in and of itself but something that does not generally make me rush to support a canidate at RfA, I see no evidence of problems with your use of it. In general, whenever I see you around I am impressed with your contributions. Reviewing your last few, your AIV reports all seem good. Your work on AfD also shows understanding of policy and your content building is there as well. Overall, I feel you would make a great admin. Happy editing, SorryGuy  Talk  03:45, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Solid, ambitious editor who has a good taste in music :) He is starting to become extremely active in areas outside articles, as is evidenced by his exploding talkpage; this should help his next RfA for the better. — Deckiller 17:30, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Probably my contribution to science and music related articles, most notably being very instrumental in promoting Rush) to featured article status, and Neil Peart to GA status. Beyond this, I feel that I am a strong vandal fighter with 200 or so contributions to WP:AIV. I am also reasonably proud of my civility over the years.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have clashed with a few editors on Rush (band) - Mostly involving the insertion of information by other users, which didn't quite meet WP:V and WP:RS. I was accused of WP:OWN due to my heavy contributions to the article. However, apart from a few heavy-handed snarky comments, I tried to maintain civility, directing the users to the talk page so that all the other editors could participate to reach consensus. Ultimately, the conflict was resolved without incident or escalation. Other than this, I can think of no other conflicts. Wisdom89 (T / C) 19:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
