[edit] Wafulz

Wafulz (talk · contribs) I've been an editor here for about 10 months, and I've been highly active for the last seven of them or so. In that span, I've probably amassed around 8000 edits. I also want to see how I would fare in a RFA. Wafulz 22:01, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Seems to be a all-round editor. For your RFA potential, I'll talk to you about it in your talk page. AQu01rius (User • Talk) 18:24, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I'd probably have to say Dominik Hasek is my current pride and joy- I stumbled upon it when it looked like a fan page, and right now it's almost up to GA status, pending a few minor tweaks. Eventually I hope to get it up to FA status, though the diacritics might end up being an issue there. I've also done similar work with Sidney Crosby's article, but I feel that since he's just starting his career, his article may be too unstable to try and raise to GA status right now.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
After editing random articles, inevitably some conflict develops. My first was probably with User:Hasek is the best editing Hasek's article who constantly inserted copyrighted material, original research, fancruft, etc. After a while, I, and a few other users helped to show him the ropes, and he's been invaluable for finding sources and adding content we wouldn't have thought of.
I was also involved in an edit war in Romano Prodi's article regarding a controversy "linking" him to the KGB. I had to invoke WP:BLP a few times because the sources were a bit flimsy and I didn't want to see a violation of WP:NPOV by giving undue weight to such a fringe topic.
In the end, I always remain civil and avoid personal attacks. Most of all, I always assume good faith- to get me to do otherwise, you'd probably have to be really obvious about it.
