EdBoy002 (talk · contribs) Well, I've been here for... I think a year? Almost a year, I guess. So far, I haven't been very active, but I do have bursts occasionally. I'm in a few WikiProjects, doing different work in each (i.e. Metadata in WikiProject Biography, and normal editing in WikiProject Webcomics). I'm consistent and I never vandalize anything. I'm constructive with my arguments, too. I'm just hoping I can get some opinions on how I can improve myself, and someday maybe be an Admin or something. :) ~EdBoy[c] 17:26, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Reviews

  • You are doing an excellent job so far. Your edit summary usage was a little bit wobbly at first, but you are getting the grasp upon using edit summaries. Just keep on editing articles, get involved with WP:AFD, WP:MFD, WP:CFD. Get involved with more Wikipedia:WikiProjects, etc. Also, due to your low edit counts, I strongly recommend that you don't run for administrator, now. Miranda 23:47, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
    • Well, keep in mind that people have still been promoted despite a sub-1000 edit count (in some cases even sub-750) because they were doing something worthwhile. I for one, like XfDs and vandal fighting, and know the CSD policies well; seeing as we need more admins that do that, I don't see why not. Saying someone has too low an edit count on Wikipedia is a very stupid reason to oppose, since that's basically keeping someone from doing a good job and helping out because they don't do A LOT of work. I do a lot of small, but useful, edits, but that doesn't mean I don't contribute enough. It's really a matter of circumstance. ~EdBoy[c] 23:53, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
There's a Summer Assessment Drive going on with WPBio. You may want to get involved with that, or contribute to WikiProject User Help in order to boost your mainspace edits and edits via Wikipedia. Admins have to know policy as well, so knowing the five pillars and ignore all rules is a must. Overall, you are doing a good job! Miranda 22:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Of one article, I would say Questionable Content. I cleaned that one up pretty well, and I try to add content and remove wrong content if I can. In general, I'm proud of the work I did in updating infoboxes and adding metadata (which I'm still doing right now).
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
So far, I don't recall ever having conflicts over editing or anything else on Wikipedia. Ad for other users causing me stress, no more than a misunderstanding.

Additional Questions from Dfrg.msc:

Borrowed from Glen (talk · contribs), I'm sure he wont mind. These should test you editing skills, and show if you have any weaknesses which you can work on. So, just write your answer next to the Question. Good luck.

Speedy Delete or not:

  1. CSD1 - Delete
  2. CSD2 - Weak Keep
  3. CSD3 - Keep
  4. CSD4 - Super Duper Speedy Delete
  5. CSD5 - Weak Keep (references or speedy delete)

Vandalism or or not:

  1. [1] - Probably yeah, but who knows. {{fact}} should do it.
  2. [2] - Yes... very silly.
  3. [3] - Yes.
  4. [4] - Definitely not.
  5. [5] - I guess, if you're really strict. Simple revert.
  6. [6] - Looks fine, though {{fact}} again.

Have fun! Dfrg.msc 07:44, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
