Ali (talk ยท contribs) Hello! I'm Ali, and have been a Wikipedian since October 2006. I have contributed to Wikipedia through various aspects of the encyclopedia, such as vandal-fighting, article creation and editing, My contributions to Wikipedia have mainly been focused on fighting vandalism, creating and editing articles, and taking part in Wikipedia-related discussions, such as deletion debates. I have previously attempted to request adminship on April 2007, but I withdrew my self-nom because of lack of experience concerns. I would like to know what other Wikipedians think of my edits at present, and if I am on the right track for becoming an admin. Ali (t)(c) 23:31, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Reviews
- Remeber to mark your minor edits, not a huge thing I know but it helps those on recent changes patroll. Forgive me for not giving an in depth review right now as I am pressed for time. -Icewedge 06:19, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- You're a pretty solid editor at the rate you're going. I suggest that you gain some more experience in speedy deletions, which can help you if you are looking for adminship as well as more experience and edits overall in the wiki-space. Otherwise, you're doing alright. bibliomaniac15 Prepare to be deleted! 00:58, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I am proud of all my contributions to Wikipedia. I am glad to have taken part in article creation and editing, for example. I have created the articles Branham High School, AIM Ad Hack, and Computer Stew, and have made significant changes to the articles WeatherBug and Blair Hornstine to comply with Wikipedia's policies and standards. I have also helped other editors, particularly by adopting two editors through the adopt-a-user program and helping out at the reference desk. I am most proud of my vandal-fighting efforts, and have caught and reverted hundreds of vandalism edits.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- The most recent conflict I have faced was with User:JzG, when he arbitrairly deleted an article and protected it to prevent recreation. I raised my concerns on JzG's talk page, and since I was certain his actions were not backed by consensus and policy, I took the matter to the administrator's noticeboard. Other editors agreed that my concerns were valid, and JzG's actions were undone. Although I have utmost respect for JzG and understand that he is an administrator, his actions were inappropriate for any editor on Wikipedia. I believe I have handled the situation well, and if I enter another conflict like this one, I will pursue a similar course of action. After all, I don't believe conflicts can be resolved by arguing, bickering, and wheel warring!
