Snowflake you reverted when an edit would better serve. --DB0 14:21, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

Sorry if that seemed harsh. I simply got used to reverting changes by means of the rollback button. I should have used more tact. Again, I am sorry. --Sn0wflake 21:03, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
No worries. You will see that I have reverted to my version with your format guidelines, so all's well :) --DB0 22:07, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] no drastic changes?

In my opinion, the sentence "However no drastic consequences have occurred to their style." should be changed. It was probably written before the album Rocket Ride came out, and for sure Rocket Ride seems to me like a pretty drastic change (compared to Theater of Salvation for example). What do you think? Could someone write a bit about the last album? --IronChris 04:36, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

how is their name pronounced is it "ed guy" or is it suposed to be "edgy"?

It's ed-guy. Like the name "Ed" and the word "guy" :P Not too sure how that works out in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). --IronChris 16:39, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Impartial?

"With their uncomplicated easygoing melodies and Sammet's high voice, Edguy is representative of typical European power metal."

In my humble opinion, the sentence above is not 100% impartial, and it may be considered a critique of some sort. Is there anyone who actually thinks the same? —Preceding unsigned comment added by M3TALL1CA2000 (talkcontribs)

I agree that it isn't 100% encyclopedic. Maybe a more suitable wording would be something like "the melodies allied to Sammet's high-pitched voice make Edguy a rather typical example of European power metal". Well, that's a first shot anyway! IronChris | (talk) 18:15, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
I changed it to "Edguy employs uncomplicated easy-going melodies, combined with Sammet's high voice which is typical of European power metal." I believe this wording implies that the high voice is typical of power metal only. The other version, to me, made me think it was saying that "uncomplicated easy-going" melodies were typical of European power metal! That's quite a wide sweeping claim which I'm sure is pretty dubious, so I reworded it to reflect the high voice only. --Dayn 11:14, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sources

I add a {{refimprove}} tag to this page. There are only three referenced links, two of which are self-links, and I waited for five minutes for the Metal Storm link to come up before I gave up. Nothing in the article indicates where any of the information comes from, and it needs to have references for its claims. Corvus cornix 23:19, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

This has finally been addressed. :-) --Managerpants (talk) 12:08, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Biography

The last paragraph of the Biography section, telling the story about Kreator, isn't really biographical, if you ask me. It's more of a trivia type factoid or anecdote. I think it should be placed under a seperate section for consistency purposes. Jasontk (talk) 03:32, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

This article has needed cleaning up for a long time, so I finally took care of it. It still needs more information, but it at least looks a little better now. I removed the Kreator story altogether, since trivia is generally discouraged on WP. --Managerpants (talk) 12:08, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
