Did You Know
...that Edgar Buchanan was a dentist before becoming an American actor with a long career in both movies and television, and is probably best remembered as Uncle Joe Carson from the Petticoat Junction and Green Acres television sitcoms of the 1960s. Prior to, and concurrently with that, he played "Uncle Billy" (Ward Cleaver's brother) on Leave It To Beaver in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
