I took this photo of Edgardo Cambon playing the cajon at the Claremont Colleges on 10-19-05. By pressing the heels of his feet against the front playing surface he raised the pitch of the drum. Born in Uruguay, Edgardo now lives in Oakland, California. He leads a band called Candela. The cajon features Slap Pads, a modification developed in 1998 by Kotz.
