Edgar Selwyn (20 October 1875 – 13 February 1944), was an American film playwright, producer and director. He wrote for 21 films between 1914 and 1942. He also produced and directed eight films between 1929 and 1942.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and died in Los Angeles, California.
