EDB Business Partner (OSE: EDBASA), branded as EDB is a Norwegian information technology company that supplies a vast array of services relating to computing, including operation, outsourcing and online banking. The company is headquartered in Oslo and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Telenor owns 51.3% of EDB. EDB BP has wholly owned subsidiaries in Sweden and Denmark, and more recently acquired the majority of Miratech, a Ukrainian IT company.
The Swedish subsidiary in Solna was a direct inspiration to the movie Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome as well as the character Masterblaster
