Ed Glinert

Ed Glinert is an English author and journalist. He was born in Dalston in east London, and studied Classical Hebrew at Manchester University. He has worked as a journalist for several magazines including Radio Times, Private Eye, Mojo and Time Out. He has edited the Penguin Classics edition of The Diary of a Nobody and annotated two volumes of Sherlock Holmes stories, also for the same imprint.
Glinert also specializes in writing about London and has published several books on the subject: The Literary Guide to London, East End Chronicles, and The London Compendium. The last of these was chosen by contributors to the Independent and the Sunday Telegraph newspapers as one of their "books of the year". He leads walking tours for a major London tour company.
