The ECO (Ecology) flag is a symbol for cultural and environmental change. The Eco flag originated in the late 1990’s when environmental activists (Eco Warriors) campaigned against a gold mine at Timbarra Plateau, near Nimbin Australia. Description of the Eco Flag Three logs lashed together. A structure used by Eco Warriors to halt road access to areas of high ecological value. The tripod is symbolic of the three principles for cultural change :- 1.respect nature 2.respect humanity 3.non violence Colours: Red / Yellow / Black – are colours of the indigenous Australians flag, and are in recognition of all indigenous cultures worldwide.
