[edit] {{POV}}

Googling for "eclipse cigarette" yields quite a different perception from the one currently instilled by the article. See the anti-cancer site links there. BACbKA 20:49, 4 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Maybe it is. I just paraphrased into plain english whatever PR marketing legalise the official site of that cigarette had. I tried to make it not POV by saying the carbon monoxide thing. I dont smoke and never have BTW. I think its a lil too anti-cigarette now. At first glance, it does seem safer, but not safe, and IMO it is a lesser evil. Anyone can make a study or research that says that something is something, look at all the pharmacutical companies and cosmetics and ummm crap you see being sold on late night cable tv channels. Something tells me each promise and point they state is backed up by like a 5-20 person study. Just for legal purposes incase they get sued by the FCC/FTC.I guess you guys can do whatever you want, but you should list more benifits of this cigarette if you want to say more negative stuff about it. I just wanted to make a nice stub lol.Patcat88 05:16, 9 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I have re-worded the article slightly to make it clearer that these are the company's own claims. I think that this re-wording couple with the existing balancing statements in the article mean that it should pass the NPOV test. TigerShark 00:52, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of "Cigarette brands" category

I have removed Category:Cigarette brands from this article because Category:R.J. Reynolds brands is a sub-category of the former. It defeats the purpose of having this subcategory if we're going to list the articles in both. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:47, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Eclipse cigarettes.jpg

Image:Eclipse cigarettes.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
