EastLake Middle School (ELM), in Chula Vista, California, is a middle school for grades 7 and 8. In 2005 ELM accepted seventh grade applications while construction for the 8th grade campus was built. In 2006 the school was completed and accepted new seventh and eight graders. It serves the community of Eastlake as well as other surrounding communities such as Windingwalk and Rolling Hills Ranch. It is part of Sweetwater Union High School District.

ELM will provide a small learning community environment that will ease the transition from elementary school to middle school and from middle to high school. Our mission is to develop life-long learning skills fostered from a rigorous standards-based curriculum coupled with extensive exploration through technology, the arts, and physical fitness. Students will develop a sense of community in a diverse global society through service learning and interdisciplinary teaming.

  • Academic Detention~ Academic Detention(nicknamed O Room for Observation Room) is available every school day. Regular Block Schedule Detention goes from 3:20-4:24. Minimum Day Detention goes from 12:56-2:00.
  • Saturday School~ Saturday School is offered occasionally it is on Saturday and goes from 8:15-12:51.
  • Intersession~ Intersession starts the 2nd week of spring break and ends the 4th week.
