East Hendred Village Museum is based at Champs Chapel, built in 1453 for the Carthusian monks, in the ancient village of East Hendred in Oxfordshire, England.
Champs Chapel Museum is open on Sunday afternoons (April to September) from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and every first Sunday of the month (October to March) from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Admission - Free, although we appreciate all voluntary donations as they keep the Museum running. Museum is operated entirely by volunteers from local East Hendred Heritage Trust.
East Hendred is an ancient village with more than a 1000 years of history closely interweaved with the history of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and England. Champs Chapel Museum is an excellent destination for a family day out for those interested in the roots of the English culture and history.
