[edit] Coach redirects?

Should these coaches articles really just be redirects? It's pretty standard on Wikipedia for coaches to have their own articles. matt91486 03:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, most coaches have their own articles, but in these early years of Gopher football, most of the coaches weren't around long and there isn't much information (at least in my sources) about them, so combining them all onto a single page and having redirects here makes a lot of sense. If someone eventually wants to put more information about any of them into Wikipedia, I'd absolutely encourage them to create a new article in place of the redirect and then put a link to the new page on this one (much like the section on William Heffelfinger who already had an article before I created this page). I might eventually do some of that on my own, but there is so much work to be done on other Gopher coaches (Henry L. Williams and Bernie Bierman in particular) that it will be a while before I'll revisit these early coaches. Gopherguy | Talk 14:19, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
