Talk:Early British popular music

Don't you think that the music from Gilbert and Sullivan's operettas should be included here? This was very popular, with high volumes of sheet music sales and was also one of the country's first great musical exports, selling very well in the USA?
Between the end of this article and the beginning of the next, there is a major musical form omitted: Big bands: Harry Roy, Billy Cotton, Carroll Gibbons, Jack Payne, Jack Hylton, Henry Hall and many other British bands were hugely popular. And yet, no mention. Ogg 19:43, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
I have just found a suitable, but rather short relevant article: British dance band. It should be slotted in here. Ogg 19:45, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
